MANEKIN PARTNER OWEN ROUSE JOINS HOPKINS BAYVIEW ADVISORY BOARD

Owen Rouse Jr., senior vice president, director of capital markets for Manekin, LLC/CORFAC International, was appointed to a three-year term on the Johns Hopkins Bayview Safety Advisory Board.

The 20-member board 1) provides guidance and advice for the development, adoption and annual review of the Johns Hopkins Bayview Vision for Patient Safety; 2) raises awareness and support for safety initiatives at Johns Hopkins Bayview, and 3) promotes the medical center and its programs, regionally and nationally, for its commitment to providing the safest patient care.

Rouse brings 32 years experience in the commercial real estate industry, including acquisition, disposition, construction, appraisal, portfolio management, loan workouts and consulting assignments.

He joined Manekin in 1995, and has directed the firm’s investment services and brokerage divisions. His current responsibilities are raising equity for the firm and identifying projects that match the profile of the equity.

Active in industry and community activities, Rouse is a past president of CORFAC International, NAIOP-Maryland and Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake. He also has served on the Loyola College Sellinger School of Business Advisory Board, the Stevenson University Presidential Advisory Council and the Saint Joseph Medical Center Foundation Board and been a guest lecturer at JohnsHopkinsUniversity’s Berman School of Real Estate.

Rouse holds a bachelor’s degree from McDanielCollege (formerly Western Maryland College) and an MBA from Loyola College’s Sellinger School of Business. He resides in Baltimore’s Ruxton community, with his wife, Anne.
