Christopher P. Smith, general counsel of Manekin, LLC, has been elected president of CASA of Baltimore County, Inc.

“I am both delighted and humbled to be chairing the board of The Court Appointed Special Advocate program in Baltimore County known as CASA of Baltimore County,” said Smith a Lutherville resident who joined the organization’s board in 2005. “We are proud to be entering our 10th year helping children in the court and social service system by training volunteers who become CASAs.”

“We assist over 100 children annually in Baltimore County - by giving them a voice and championing their needs,” Smith said. “Our thanks for the hard work and perseverance of our dedicated volunteers, as well as a special thank you to County Executive Jim Smith, Judge Kathleen Cox, the Administrative Office of the Courts, our employees and the CASA board of directors for their continued and unwavering support.”
