History

Headquartered in Columbia, Maryland and with offices in Baltimore, Manekin
takes great pride in an outstanding reputation and record of achievement, celebrating
more than 60 years of commercial real estate success.
The development and evolution of Manekin’s Asset Management division began
as an adjunct service to development. Initially, the vast majority---more than 80%---of properties
in its portfolio were Manekin-owned. Most were flex buildings and hi-rise offices in urban areas of Baltimore.
In the mid 1990’s the Asset Management function was centralized in Manekin’s corporate office.
Today, more than 80% of properties managed are third-party owned and the company’s
management portfolio exceeds 10 million square feet. Industrial space has expanded
to more than 3 million square feet and retail space is in excess of 1.5 million.
Geographic markets have expanded to include the Eastern Shore, Delaware, Western
Maryland northern Virginia and all points in between.
Rooted in a deep commitment to our employees and their development, the Asset
Management division’s mentoring program encourages growth from within
